At first, she was a tad nervous about listening to the children audiobook. She told me that she wished to hear me reading it, not some tape recorder. Nevertheless, when she figured out that I was not going to stay it doesn't matter how much she begged and pleaded, she relented and decided to listen to the kids audio books.
She actually truly enjoyed it. I like to think that she still likes the way I read more than she likes children books on cd, but I bet it is a close-call. The children audiobook readers are awesome. My diction isn't bad, and I'm a pretty dramatic reader, but these are real trained performers. Your average run of the mill father just simply can not compete! They know exactly how to read kids books to make them exciting and engaging, keeping your children on the edge til the very last page. Although my little girl is still unhappy when I leave town, the kids books on cd make my trip a little bit easier on her. Both of us are very happy about that.
